WELCOME MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT |
|
Our mission was noble; yet even more noble was our commitment to maintain high standards in the delivery of tertiary education.
In the midst of obvious challenges, our resolve to provide quality education has never been in doubt as we continue to admit senior high school graduates, and workers who are normally referred to as Mature Students, some of whom have very little self belief at the time of their admission, and train them to become confident and useful professionals in their chosen professions.
Our popularity has shot up and today, Advanced Business College has become a university college of choice for many Ghanaian senior high school graduates as well as international students from sister African countries aspiring to professional careers, particularly, in business fields and graphic design.
We are determined to consolidate our position as a leading tertiary institution for graphic design and business education in Ghana and ultimately become the leader in the provision of quality tertiary education in the area of Business, ICT and Graphic Design.
It is an ambition we are keen on holding onto, as we move into the next phase of our development with a faculty of accomplished academics and professionals with the requisite experience, knowledge and competence.
In the next phase of our development, we shall continue to place emphasis on professional development and enhancement. While that has always been an emphasis, we hope to focus more on the professional relevance of our academic programmes and graduates because of increasing competition on the job market.
In that regard, academic and professional internships as well as ICT education shall continue to be key areas of focus.
Advanced Business College is accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of the Ministry of Education to offer Bachelor Degree programmes and the National Board for Professional & Technical Examination (NABPTEX) to run programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma (HND).
Presently, we are affiliated to one of the leading public universities in Ghana, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
Additionally, we are affiliated to the Association of Business Managers & Administrators (ABMA-UK), Institute of Commercial Management (ICM-UK), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK), Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA-Ghana), London Centre of Marketing (LCM-UK) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK).read more >>
ABOUT US
Advanced Business College (ABC) was born out of the conviction that everyone has a role to play towards the overall development of our dear nation, Ghana. The development of every nation depends, to a very large extent, on the quality of its human resource.
Ghana, as a developing nation, requires a well educated human resource, if it is to develop into a middle income country within the foreseeable future.
Over the years, however, greater percentages of persons who qualify for the various institutions of higher learning do not gain admission into them due to inadequate facilities. It is for this reason that the Founder/Promoter, having obtained the requisite academic qualification complemented with enough professional experience, and with the support of the Principal decided to establish Advanced Business College as their contribution to solving the problem of human resource development in our dear nation, Ghana.
Advanced Business College has been registered under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179), as a body corporate limited by shares with perpetual succession and a common seal. The registration is dated 9th September, 2005 and certificate to commence business is dated 12th September 2005.
The College was registered with Ghana Education Service (GES) in 2006 with registration number GES/GAR/PT/BS/01B/2006. This was followed up in 2007 with institutional accreditation from National Accreditation Board (NAB). In the year 2008, Advanced Business College received programme accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Management Studies with study options in Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Computer Science and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Graphic Design.
Still in the year 2008, the College completed affiliation process with National Board for Professional and Technician Examination (NABPTEX). The first batches of bachelor degree and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes were all admitted into the College in year 2008.
